*Dolby Vision Formats available on Apple TV Video Format settings: 1080p (all frequencies), Dolby Vision 4k (30hz, 25hz, 24hz)Ģ- Connecting directly to TV without using Hue Sync Box. From both Apple TV to Hue Sync and Hue Sync to TV *Cables used: Both RocketFish and Belkin listed above. *Connected to port 2 or 4 on phillips Hue? Yes (also tried different ports as well) *Dolby Vision works when 4k HDR is on with match content or at any Dolby Vision format? Yes but lights won't sync * Lights syncing? Not when Dolby Vision is showing on TV or selected as default option on Apple TV * Image on the television? Yes, it correctly recognizes HDR and Dolby Vision *Dolby Vision Enhanced Compability turned on (Hue Box)? No These are the main things under this set up: The lights will only work when the content is 4k HD or HDR. But the moment that it turns the settings to Dolby Vision, the Hue Lights Sync stops syncing. Let me give you the three possible scenarios that I can test:ġ- The issue is that apple TV recognizes dolby vision only when the option on the Hue Sync app under advanced settings "Dolby Vision Enhanced Compatibility" is off.
HUE SYNC BOX APPLE TV 4K UPDATE
I've also tried to reset my apple tv, reset my Hue Sync Box, change internet set up, update my TV firmware and no success. Rocketfish™ - 1.5' 4K UltraHD/HDR In-Wall Rated HDMI Cableīelkin UltraHD High Speed 4K HDMI Cable ( This one is even Dolby vision compatible - it says in the box)

Yes I tried to update the hue sync box, I've used two different cables: My wife doesn't really use the hue apps as well.Īlso we really shouldn't have to be playing a 5 minute game with the setup to either.Hi here is an extremely detailed explanation of what is going on: So, ps5,apple tv, and Bluray player connected directly to hue sync box, then HDMI out from sync box to tv input, then seperate HDMI cable out from tv to soundbar via arc. It is not the HDMI issue it's an issue I believe with the sync box being confused with what device to change input to apple tv or ps5. This will lead to me to unplug HDMI from sync box and reconnect and then the ps5 will be there synced with lights and the input.

I also noticed when I would let's say turn ps5 on and enable it on the app for auto detect and to start sync the input on tv will say no signal but instead lights will come on, and apple tv will appear with lights synced to it, and not ps5 even though it is on. I have also noticed when I shut the tv off and apple tv off when I have the sync box lights on and connected when I turn everything off the lights don't shut off with everything.

Sometimes when she will turn tv on via the apple tv 4k remote (when you power apple tv on the tv turns on automatically) there will be no image to show and or it will say input no signal, which would take press the buttons a few times or me going into hue app and toggle on and off a few times before " the input is detect" and then all lights will come on as well. She would just want regular tv with out lights. And she doesn't even want to have the lights going on. This is becoming issue for wife as I am not home sometimes and she will have issues with getting devices on and off. I'm not sure what's going on with hue sync box and lights when I shut tv off or turn on.
